MoboMath 1.1 Released; Adds Support for Maple
New MoboMath version supports Maple 12, improved MathML
The latest release of MoboMath, the handwritten equation editor for technical documents, calculations, and web pages, is now available. Among its many new features, MoboMath 1.1 adds support for Maple 12 from Maplesoft, allowing users to easily write math expressions by hand for use in Maple worksheets.
New and enhanced features in MoboMath 1.1 include:
- Support for Maple 12. Maple users can now write equations in MoboMath, convert them to formatted text, and drag or copy the expressions into their Maple worksheets for calculation. For the first time, MoboMath enables tablet PC users to work effectively with Maple without a keyboard and offers a streamlined alternative to the traditional use of palette and keyboard entry to build math expressions. - Improved MathML output. MoboMath 1.1 adds support for content MathML, improves presentation MathML output, and includes new configuration options to select presentation or content MathML or a combination of the two.
- An expanded configuration wizard, with additional options for the most common and useful configuration choices. By disabling math elements that are rarely or never used, users can significantly improve the accuracy of their handwriting recognition results.
- A new and thoroughly revised help system, with improved index and search capabilities. Revised help is also available online.
- Expanded list of standard built-in function names for compatibility with third-party products, including Maple.
- Numerous improvements in the recognition and editing of handwritten math expressions and in overall product reliability.
MoboMath 1.1 is available for immediate trial download and purchase from the Enventra web site.
All previously licensed users of MoboMath are eligible for a free upgrade to the new version. If you purchased MoboMath before January 28, 2009, you may download your upgrade here. Existing trial users are also invited to download and test the new MoboMath 1.1 trial version.
